Our Lord's parting words to his disciples: "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age" (Mt. 28:19-20).
The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) describes the OCIA as a process in which participants "undergo conversion as they study the Gospel, profess Faith in Jesus and the Catholic Church, and receive the sacraments. The OCIA process follows the ancient practice of the Church and was restored by the Second Vatican Council." Do you know someone interested in becoming a Catholic? Do you know a baptized Catholic who needs to receive the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and/or Confirmation? Are you interested in learning more about your Faith as a Catholic?
